I’m Christopher Koziol, co-founder of Build it Local and a multi-business owner.
My entrepreneurial journey started nearly a decade ago with a wireless charging company, back when that tech was still emerging. I later met Rick through mutual friends while he was looking for technical help starting a business. That collaboration led to the launch of LittleOttersSwimSchool.com, which has since grown beyond our expectations.
Before that, I co-founded a real estate wholesaling business just before the COVID lockdowns. Seeing the need for a networking platform in that space, I built Acquiredre.com to fill the gap.
I'm a self-taught coder with a background in Business Management and Marketing. Combined with Rick’s strengths in sales, customer service, and marketing, we bring a well-rounded skill set to help local entrepreneurs launch and grow their businesses.

I’m Richard Fiddler, co-founder of Build It Local and a passionate advocate for small business growth.
My entrepreneurial journey began with the idea of launching a swim school for my then-wife. Through a mutual friend, I met Chris, who helped me build and launch LittleOttersSwimSchool.com. From there, I took the reins—setting up business listings, launching social media pages, and running paid ads across Meta, Google, and Yelp.
In just 18 months, that idea became a thriving, six-figure business. After taking full ownership, I hired a team and continued growing the brand from the ground up.
With a background in sales, customer service, and marketing, I’ve always focused on building authentic connections and strong brands. Chris brings deep technical expertise, and together we’ve combined our strengths to help other entrepreneurs do the same.
